What are DVI cables?
By admin | November 26, 2008
I have to admit I never really took the time to learn all the acronyms of the many different cables used in all my digital equipment but when your cables for the television are starting to look just like those for hooking up your computer monitor it sort of gets your attention and curiosity kicks in. DVI cables are for video hookups but have long been the standard for desktop and laptop computer hook up for the LCD screens. DVI stands for Digital Video Interface, which literally is the same thing your computer uses to hook the monitor to the video card. This cable is used to maintain high quality resolution on LCD screens.
