Religious Affiliations & Independent Schools

By admin | July 1, 2009

The league tables regarding schools UK showed as evidence of the importance of education in the United Kingdom.  Different types of schools are found in England.

There are schools for infants, junior, middle, and high school age ranges.  Learning is being provided for children of all ages until they are over sixteen years old.  A national curriculum that is set by the United Kingdom government is to be used by the normal schools.

Independent schools are able to create and apply their very own curriculum as they don’t get their funding from the United Kingdom government. Acquiring tuition fees from the students and receiving gifts are the major source of funds for independent schools.  Religious affiliation is something that an Independent School has that a government funded school doesn’t.  The reason for this is that state schools must be unbiased in teaching all religions, so that they can understand a number of different cultures.
