Why sad love messages are more charged?

Say what you like, but I really think sad movies are better. You feel that way too? I guess in many things, sad stuff are more "alluring", they seem to appeal to a side of us. We all want so much to emphatize with the saddness that are being portrayed. So, when reading or writing, sad love messages are usually more powerful. Personally, I feel that emotions goes up a few notch when one is sad. Maybe, even to the extent of being poetic, so if you want to write good love messages, put yourself in a "sad mode" and I guess you would do just fine…
