Understanding dog food ingredients.

By admin | February 27, 2008

To understand the ingredients of your dog’s food items is very critical, especially after the latest pet food recall.  Every responsible dog owner should always read the label on the dog food can or bag, and should also be able to understand the dog food contents.  In a non-vegetarian dog food diet expect to see ingredients like, chicken, beef, lamb, liver and eggs.  In a vegetarian dog diet, you would most probably encounter ingredients like pasta, wheat middlings, calcium carbonate, soy bean oil and pasta.  If you feed your dog with vegetarian dog food or meat based dog food, always choose a good quality food for your dog.
