What Type of Accommodation is Best?

I am planning to visit Cheltenham in the UK, and am wondering what type of Cheltenham UK accommodation would be best. Should I try to find a house exchange, or would it be better to stay in a hotel or guest house? I might stay for up to a month, so if a house exchange is available that might be the most cost effective, but if I stay in hotels I wouldn’t have to worry about other people’s belongings, and could change locations easily if I decided to move around to other areas. Room service and a hotel restaurant would also be handy if I didn’t feel like cooking…
