See the light, not the fixture

By admin | June 29, 2008

So often the fixture for accent lighting detracts from the beauty you had hoped to accomplish with it. When you install a halogen track lighting system you can place the fixtures so that they are not obvious. Ideally you will install them so that the light strikes the object at a thirty degree angle from the light source to the wall. You adjust the distance from the wall to the picture to allow that angle. In most cases this will place the fixture our and away from where the light strikes. You now have accent lighting without being detracted by the fixtures.
