Origins of the diesel generator.

In case you wondering, Rudolph Diesel invented the diesel engine in 1892. Gas engines were created in 1876 and were inefficient. His goal was to invent an engine that was more efficient to operate than the gas engine.
Rudolph Diesel certainly achieved that aim as diesel engines are more popular, rugged and cost-effective than ever before more than a hundred of years later. Home and industrial diesel generators are built with fewer parts to breakdown so they work well under high load for hours at a time.
Working a diesel generator for short periods of time tends to do it more harm than good. They are up to the toughest task out on the road, around the home or on the jobsite. Very reliable!
