refractive surgery and dry eye symptoms

By admin | June 27, 2008

When you get refractive surgery one of the normal resulting conditions are dry eye. Refractive surgery and dry eye happen because the eye is often trying to cope with the new changes in the surface of the lens of the eye. Sometimes the laser dries up alot of the natural moisture during the procedures however this is highly unlikely. Your eyes should resume back to normal functioning and moisturize themselves again pretty quickly. The dry eye syndrome is only temporary and usually isn’t that bad although it can last several days before the eyes return to their regular state as it adjusts.
