Panic Attacks are Unprovoked

Repeated and seemingly unprovoked panic attacks may be a sign of panic disorder, but panic attacks are associated with other anxiety disorders as well. Talking yourself down from a panic attack is a skill you’ll have to learn if you’re going to be living with panic attacks. A panic attack is usually avoided or treated with medication, therapy or some combination of both. Once the diagnosis of panic attack is made, however, the person may be surprised that no medicines are prescribed. Victims of panic attacks are usually referred to their physician. A panic attack is a physiological response to fear or sudden anxiety.
