Asthma Prevention: Information About Asthma

Foremost, asthma shouldn’t be the end of your life or how much you enjoy it; with a few smart changes in your day-to-day activities and the way you protect yourself, you can successfully manage asthma. There are about 20 million Americans who have one form of asthma or the other. In 2003, there were an estimated 12.7 million physician office visits and an estimated 1.2 million outpatient department visits as a result of asthma. In the United States, where there are more than 17 million sufferers of Asthma, nearly 5 million cases occur in children who are under the age of 18. Being ignorant of asthma and its life threatening nature could leave you dead within an instant… or it could lead to your children’s death within an instant after the attack.
