Why Form an Georgia LLC over a Corporation

By admin | October 23, 2008

I am wondering what the differences are over two different types of legal entities in Georgia.  One is a Georgia limited liability company and the other is a corporation.  Why form a Georgia LLC instead of a corporation when you want to start a business.  While I am told it is the better entity, I know that corporations have been around forever and are the gold standard for getting protection when starting an endeavor.  This new type of entity is so new that I wonder whether it will do the job required if my business gets larger and more complex. I am told it is better for private and small business but I need to learn why and what the added benefits are before taking a risk on a newer entity over one that has been around for ages.
