What is “Back Office”?

The part of the business where the operations for running the company are done are called the “back office” operations. This is everything from the IT staff, human resources departments and so forth. Every company has a structure and hierarchy as part of its infrastructure. This maintains the companies operations smoothly and provides the foundation for how the company will be run, how it will be maintained and how policies will be implemented to generate a more smooth operation of the front end. If you were to think of it like a department store the back office would be the part of the building where you get hired are interviewed and where all operations seem to originate from.
