The US Military is one of the most important government branches that receives huge financial budget every year. The need for better and advanced fighting equipment and gears is where a big portion of this budget goes to.. The remains are allocated to military programs, development and military benefits.
Aside from salary, a US military also receives other monthly budget that include Basic Allowance for Housing, Overseas Housing Allowance (for members who are stationed in other places), Food Allowances, CONUS (Continental United States) COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment), Hardship Duty Pay, Clothing Allowance as well as Dislocation Allowance and other benefits enforced by the law.
