If your passport is ever lost or stolen make sure you report it to Canadian Passport Offices immediately, your Canadian passport is an important identification document that can be used to misrepresent if it is ever used by someone other than you. You could visit the PPT.GC.CA website for the address and phone numbers you could call to report your Lost Passport. Generally a Services Canada office can help you with this, but many times having a Notary Public deal with this for you can be a lot easier because they know the process that’s involved in handling a lost passport. If it’s been used in a crime they can inform you of what to do, and they could also be a witness that you’re passport has been lost or stolen.
