Life cycle management is a holistic approach to business
By admin | May 31, 2008
The biggest challenge confronting some organizations is to find acceptable business practices that do not produce pollution as a result of their activities. In the past, many companies have gotten away with dumping waste that is difficult to clean up or leaves a toxic mark. This can result in adverse consequences such as the pollution of water systems that ultimately affects people and villages. Life cycle management takes a holistic approach to production and tries to identify alternatives to minimize adverse outcomes. It is becoming more common to adopt more sustainable alternatives as companies become more accountable and risk facing fines for social irresponsibility.
