If its on show, it will go!

By admin | August 27, 2008

According to an article on instant-online-insurance, if you leave it lying about in your car, a passing car thief will take it. He’s not too fussy by all accounts! He’ll take a packet of sandwiches a half eaten tin of dog food or even a stick of celery if it’s going!

We can see the attraction of stealing car stereos, Sat-Navs and CDs but what are they thinking of when they make off with out of the ordinary pickings in the shape of a cat flap or a pair of old pants?

The insurance company, Admiral have looked at eight thousand claims to compile a list of the most unlikely things that people have reported stolen from their cars in the last twelve months. Some of the best items include a 6ft Power Ranger suit, a wet suit and a pair of leather shorts.

Why would people even admit to leaving some of these things in their cars let alone put in a claim for them. How would you price up a half – eaten rusty old tin of dog food?
