Upright and grand pianos

By admin | April 6, 2008

grand pianos generally have one major advantage over their upright cousins. Their keys can bit hit more quickly which gives the music a better flow and smoothness. The average instrument has a total of 230 strings which have eighteen tons of pressure when they are stretched.  There are over twelve thousand parts in a typical one of which ten thousand are moving parts. Each model has its own distinct tone and experts, who have a fine ear, can identify one from the other just by the sound.
